​Cortland Arts Connect Announces 16th Annual Regional Photography Exhibit​

 

 

Cortland Arts Connect invites photographers of all levels and backgrounds to participate in the Annual Regional Photography Exhibit, which will be on display at the Cortland Free Library during the months of October and November.

 

As in the past, we are presenting new categories to challenge photographers and offer the public interesting ways of capturing images of the world around them.  This year’s specific categories are “Yellow,” “Freedom,” and “Stone.” Standard digital techniques such as brightness, contrast, and sharpening to enhance the final image are acceptable. The general category of “Open” is for photos of any subject, but must be based on the photographer’s original photo and ANY digital manipulations – without limitations- he/she chooses to make. Only one image per chosen category is allowed.

 

The deadline to apply is August 14. The selection will be juried, and applicants will be notified of acceptance by August 28. The entry fee for CAC members is $20 for up to two photos. Entry fee is $25 for non members for up to two photos. Please use the entry form on our below. Payment options and additional information can be found on the Cortland Arts Connect website.

 

A reception will be scheduled in October at the Cortland Free Library to announce the awards for each category. The reception will feature refreshments, and a chance to meet the photographers and judge. More details will be announced later.
