Cortland Arts Connect (CAC) is sponsoring the 12th Annual Regional Photography Show exhibit. The Regional Photography Exhibit is always an extremely popular event and gives Cortland County residents at all levels of experience an opportunity to share their art with other photography enthusiasts.

 

CAC presents several categories for entries every year to challenge photographers and offer the public interesting ways of viewing images of the world around them. This year’s specific categories are Shadows, Angles, and Motion. In addition, two other categories will be included, Open and Daydream.

 

Open - This category provides photographers the opportunity to exhibit works that they particularly like without being constrained by a specific subject.

 

Daydream - While most photographers use digital techniques such as brightness, contrast, and sharpening to improve the final image (“post-processing”), this category is for photographs that have been created or significantly altered digitally, by combining and/or manipulating images so that the product no longer represents reality.

 

The photographs will be exhibited in the Cortland Free Library Gallery during the month of October beginning October 5th and in a virtual gallery on our website. Cash awards will be presented for each category.

There will be a public reception on October 14th beginning at 5:30 pm with the awards announced at 6:30 pm.  Please join us to view the diverse talent of the local photographers in our community.
